We’re closing up shop on AntiTrash 2020 with episode 353. This week, we end with a film from 2019, to perfectly set up next week’s “Best Movies of 2019” episode! To do so, Arthur found a movie released on the 20th day of September! This week, we’re talking all about James Gray’s Ad Astra.
What is Ad Astra?
Ad Astra is a 2019 sci-fi film from director James Gray. It stars Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones. Brad Pitt plays an astronaut sent into the depths of space to research a mysterious mission that he believed had ended years before.
Is Ad Astra Good?
That’s the first question we reckon with on this week’s episode as we give our quick reviews of Ad Astra. Spoiler alert, but we all really dig the movie.
Blasting Off with Ad Astra
On this week’s show, we open up Ad Astra to talk about dads, homage and intertextuality, spirituality, humanism, and much more. After all of that, we render a verdict and find out if we can go 5 for 5 on shelving films! Tune in now to find out!
