Welcome back to the GenreCast. The boys are back in a regular groove this week with a discussion of Ridley Scott’s classic Blade Runner The Final Cut. After some deliberation, the gang decided to watch Blade Runner The Final Cut as their edition of choice. With five to choose from, The Final Cut seemed to make the most sense. Normally, they would go with theatrical, but Blade Runner The Final Cut is heralded as the optimal choice.

Investigating Blade Runner The Final Cut

This week on the GenreCast, the gang has several changes in store. Dalton decided he was ready to shake things up. So, there’s a new, revitalized show format in town. Noticeably, the rotating weekly game is standardized. And, Arthur replaces the Voice of the Cinema with a more in-depth synopsis. Each week, the boys will be “Expanding the Syllabus”, which is an expansion of the Else/Instead aspect of the show. So, it might take some time to grow into the new flow, but they wanted to present a more focused analysis for each film.

There are a number of deep dives this week, as the gang explores identity, film noir, structure and the Cyborg Manifesto.
