Behind the Rows with Children of the Corn

In the 1980s, Stephen King stories were being optioned left and right. From his full length novels to his short tales, studios were all in on the horror maestro. Enter Children of the Corn. A small 1984 film starring a pre-Terminator Linda Hamilton which features a group of homicidal child zealots.

On this week’s episode, we talk about generational conflict. We discuss the films relationship to the cultural anxieties regarding the Satanic Panic. And obviously, we talk about religiosity and cults.
