En Route to a Destination Wedding
As we enter the final chapter of A Man Called Keanu, we move into modern Keanu era. It’s a post-John Wick world, and Keanu is back in the cultural zeitgeist. Following up on a growing franchise, Keanu took time to star alongside his longtime friend Winona Ryder in the small, quirky romance Destination Wedding. Taking place over the course of a weekend, Frank (Reeves) and Lindsay (Ryder) meet, flirt and immediately grow disgusted with one another. But, as the weekend goes on, the two find themselves reluctantly stuck with each other.
As we open Destination Wedding up for analysis, we talk Keanu, Winona and the importance of chemistry. The discussion also turns to late-stage romance and representation, sex and much more. After all that analysis, we decide this film’s fate: shelf or trash.
