Dustin gets back on the Skype and talks with Crystal Scott about her upcoming project: Girl Clown, a quirky romantic comedy feature film about a shy, lovelorn waitress who becomes a clown. Based on award-winning short.
Here’s a quick bio on Crystal:
Crystal is an actress and filmmaker who lives in NYC. Described as a “charming” actress, with “great comic timing”, Crystal is the writer/star of the award-winning short film GIRL CLOWN. Other film work includes: REARVIEW MIRRORS, THE VENTRILOQUIST, SOLE MATES, REMEMBRANCE, and LITTLE MISS TERRIFIED AND LOVE. Her TV acting credits include GREG THE BUNNY, ONE LIFE TO LIVE, GIRL CODE, and numerous TV commercials. Crystal is also an accomplished singer-actress, and has many national and international tours to her credit, including EVITA and THE WIZARD OF OZ.
She proves to be an absolute delight in this interview as she and Dustin discuss the project, The Wizard of Oz, French Film and what it is like working in the entertainment business in NYC. Crystal confirms the influence of Amélie, and the Wizard of Oz on the upcoming project along with Romantic Anonymous.
I also get a sense that there is quite a bit of the silent storytelling in a sound film of Jaques Tati, especially like you might see in Mon Oncle or the equally Tati influenced Triplets of Bellville.

*disclaimer* we are still ironing out the kinks with our audio when doing Skype interviews. The show is totally listenable, but may not be of quite the same quality GoodTrash listeners expect. We have our team of garden gnome minions on the case and will fix this in the future.
