To celebrate a year of Praising it, we brought back our very first guest to discuss the very persuasive film Hell’s Bells! That’s right, we brought back the guest on the very good first episode, Oklahoma City comedian BradChad Porter! Join those Praiseoids for discussion over the following topics:
- What rock do to an egg!?
- #itakethepledge or #darknutenergy?
- How will our hosts react if Satan himself shows up on the podcast!?
Survive the arduous gauntlet of comedians riffing to get to the good stuff, listener! By the good stuff we mean the documentary that will make you swear off rock ‘n roll, Hell’s Bells!
Hell’s Bells is Pizzagate for your Grandpa
1989 film Hell’s Bells is a Christian Documentary directed and produced by Eric Holmberg. Holmberg, the founder of Reel to Real Ministries and The Apologetics Group, intended for Hell’s Bells to unmask the dark agenda of rock ‘n roll. Pointing to occult themes, sacrilege, drug abuse, and subliminal messaging, Hell’s Bells is a critical element of the 1980’s Satanic Panic.
Hell’s Bells does have a strong lineup of songs that are certified staples of any headbanger’s diet. However, the film ultimately fails to prove its case. The central point of which hinges on a suspension of disbelief that the film implicitly asks its viewers to accept.
