Dalton and Dustin are back from a brief summer sabbatical to talk The Voices! This week we explore mental illness, popular perceptions thereof and the nuances of medication. During this week’s game, we discuss actors we would like to have talking in our heads.
Ryan Reynolds has Dalton and Dustin Hearing Voices
According to Wikipedia, The Voices is a 2014 black comedy horror film directed by Marjane Satrapi and written by Michael R. Perry. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Gemma Arterton, Anna Kendrick and Jacki Weaver. It had its world premiere at 2014 Sundance Film Festival on January 19, 2014.
This is one of those odd projects that Ryan Reynolds took on to prove his worth as an actor. In a long string of these films, The Voices may be one of the most interesting and daring projects he’s worked on. Reynolds voices both the cat and dog in the film. The three performances from Reynolds are all very interesting.
But the ultimate question is, does it say anything of note? Or, is it just talking in circles? Dustin and Dalton delve deep into the movie to figure out what is really going on. As they render their shelf or trash verdict, you will discover whether The Voices is worth your time.
Now if you will excuse us, we have a show-stopping musical number to choreograph.
